FEEDING DIRECTIONS
Description
Feed continuously as the sole ration after 18 weeks of age. Keep feed before birds at all times. Feed Purina® Layena®+ Omega-3 feed to laying hens as at least 90 percent of the diet.
Consumption will vary depending upon season of the year, nutritional needs of the animals and availability of other foods.
Changing To
If you are switching from a crumble feed, introduce the pellets gradually. Start by sprinkling a handful of the new feed on top of the flock’s current feed. Over the next several days, increase the amount of pellets being added each day. Stir the feeds together, so birds are eating both old and new feed.
By the end of the 7-10 day period, the feeder should contain only the layer feed pellets.
